Reading and Homework:

  • School reading books must be in school every day. The expectation is that your child reads at least 3 times per week. Their reading record will need signing by an adult each time they have read. The reading records will be checked every Friday.
  • Spelling homework is handed out on a Friday for children to practice words of the week at home, there is no expectation that this is returned to school.

 Mastering Number Workshop 11/02/2026

The children have taken part in a Mastering Number workshop to introduce The Parent Project in Year 1.  They thoroughly enjoyed working with their adults on the maths activities that they are then going to continue at home. All the children are taking home a maths homework pack every week for five weeks to complete together with their adults.

We are really excited to see how this interaction at home benefits parents and children and hope that they enjoy working together.
